You are very welcome to rent the Studio in the Eemklooster in Amersfoort to share your beautiful work.
You can rent occasionally at weekends or rent Tuesday mornings on a weekly basis for a full year. This time slot is available for a complementary colleague.

Equipped with 12 yoga mats or mattresses, floor chairs, meditation cushions, pillows, blankets, atmospheric lighting and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. Teapots, teacups and plants ;) Pleasant shared waiting area, kitchen with dishwasher and sanitary facilities
Suitable for groups up to 12 people on a mattress.

Price indication:
€88 per 4 hour block.
The exact price depends on the time of day, type of use and whether you rent occasionally or on a fixed basis.
Occasional rental
For example a one-off booking or one or two times per month, for one or more time slots. Available at weekends and occasionally on Mondays or Fridays.
Fixed rental
Weekly on weekdays, every week, one time slot (or several), during the day, on an annual contract. You then pay a more favourable rate.
Tuesday morning is currently available.

FAQ Serene Warrior Studio
This FAQ answers the most common questions from Serene Warrior Studio renters so we both know what to expect from one another and can keep communication clear. Time slots, pricing and cancellation
Which time slots are available?
Weekend rental is available on an occasional basis.
You can plan up to one year ahead.
You can be placed on the waiting list for a fixed weekly weekday slot on an annual contract. Tuesday morning is currently available. Morning: 08:00–12:00 Afternoon: 13:00–17:00 Evening: 18:00–22:00 Each block is 4 hours and, as an extra service when possible, you may enter 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after for set-up and clean-up.
Can I get a discount?
What if I rent more often, shorter or longer?
A reduced rate is only available for fixed rental: weekly, on fixed time slots, with an annual contract. Occasional rental is always per 4 hour block from €88. Shorter bookings are not possible.
How does cancellation or rescheduling work for occasional rental?
Up to 3 months (90 days) before: 90 percent refund Up to 2 months (60 days) before: 75 percent refund Up to 1 month (30 days) before: 50 percent refund Within 1 month, after start time or no-show: no refund
Why can’t I cancel for free?
Late cancellations almost always mean the space will remain unused, because events and workshops need promotion time, and they also create administrative costs. Clear cancellation terms keep the studio accessible at the lowest possible rate for everyone.
How does cancellation work for fixed rental?
Contracts are automatically renewed for one year. Termination is possible up to 3 months before the renewal date.
Materials and facilities
Which materials are available?
For 12 people: In the room: yoga mats or mattresses, meditation cushions, backjacks/floor chairs, pillows, blankets, whiteboard.
Yoga mats are stored in the cupboard past the men's toilets. JBL Bluetooth speaker 5 teapots, cups, plates, bowls and cutlery Shared waiting area, toilets and kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, 2 kettles and a Senseo machine Cleaning supplies
What do I need to bring myself?
Tea, Senseo pads, milk, food and drinks, paper and anything not on the list There is no WiFi (but mobile reception is good), so bring mobile data or pre-downloaded files
Keys, access and parking
How do I get in?
Fixed renters receive a key on loan. Occasional renters pick up the key from Lynn near the Eemklooster (instructions are sent 2 days prior) and return it immediately after the booking. Important: the door must always remain closed and may not be left open. On weekends and weekdays after 17:00 the door must be locked.
If you step outside in the evening or weekend without a key you will not be able to get back in.
How does access work?
The indoor route description is shown in the image below. Enter the Studio through ENTRANCE A, the main entrance with the two large wooden doors. The gate is open from 07:00 to 22:00.
After that you can only drive out until 23:15. Between 23:00 and 07:00 no one may be inside the building (alarm). Pets are not allowed. The Eemklooster is wheelchair accessible and has a lift.
Where can I park?
Free parking at P1 at the main entrance. If full you can park at any of the other parking areas. There are 7 electric charging points and one disabled parking space. Bicycles can be stored in the bike parking area.

Cameras:
There is outdoor surveillance and a camera in the room. You may unplug it upon arrival and plug it back in when leaving to ensure your privacy.
Lights:
At the main entrance, on the left, is a touchscreen for the building. Inside the studio, left around the corner, is a switch and dimmer. Please leave it on warm white medium strength when you go.
Heating:
Controlled via the touchscreen left of the door. Tap, then select the temperature icon. Press + three times to increase or – three times to decrease by three degrees. An additional electric heater is available in winter (switch off after use). Speaker: Serene Warrior JBL 310 Bluetooth speaker. Turn on with the power button, pair via Bluetooth if it doesn’t show on your phone.
Dyson vacuum:
Pull the bottom toward you then downwards and attach a nozzle. Squeeze the handle to vacuum.
Thermos flasks:
General-use flasks are in the lower left cupboard in the kitchen. Serene Warrior flasks are in the 'arch cabinet' in the room. Please return them there.
Crockery:
General-use cups and plates are in the upper left kitchen cupboard. For groups of 12 or more you may use the group crockery in the lower right cupboard.
What do I need to do afterwards?
Use the cleaning checklist:

☐ Put dishes in the dishwasher, empty if clean, start if full

☐ Empty and clean teapots, return to the arch cabinet

☐ Hang clean towel and tea towel (upper cupboard)
Put used ones in the laundry basket in the room cupboard
☐ Vacuum: Dyson hangs next to the cupboard
☐ Mop if needed: mop is in the cupboard behind the men's toilets
☐ Replace bin bag (spare bags behind the arch cabinet)
☐ Turn off electric heater
☐ Close windows
☐ Turn camera on
☐ Lights off (warm white)
☐ Lock the studio door
☐ Lock the outer door after 17:00
☐ Take rubbish to the outside bins next to P1
☐ Return the key (occasional renters)
Is the location reachable by public transport?
Train: Amersfoort Centraal OV-bike or taxi from the station Bus 202 or 34 from Amersfoort Centraal, stop Prins Frederiklaan (3 minute walk)
Food, catering and accommodation
Can I eat in the studio?
Preferably in the kitchen or sitting area to keep the hall and materials clean.

Temperature and dimensions
The Eemklooster has thick walls so the temperature is usually pleasant.
Windows and doors can be opened on all four sides of the room.
There is no air conditioning.
The entrance door has an extra soundproof door.
The studio is a rectangle of 9.2 m wide and 6.2 m deep.

There is plenty of daylight and curtains are available.
May I adjust or decorate the space?
The studio is in a monumental monastery. You may not attach anything to floors, walls or ceilings without permission.
You may place a rug in the centre, bring flowers or create an altar.
Due to fire safety and your full liability, candles may only be used in a closed lantern. LED candles are a safe alternative.
Please respect this rule, I know someone who accidentally set herself on fire by walking past her own altar.
You may burn sage or palo santo sparingly in a proper holder. Please ensure neighbouring practices are not inconvenienced.
There is a Buddha statue, crystals and a few sacred items belonging to fixed renters. Please do not move them.
First aid:
In an emergency call 112. Then open the front door on the hook, and have someone welcome the emergency services.
A first aid kit is in the cupboard in the room.
An AED is mounted outside next to the main entrance.
Who is responsible for the space, accidents, damage, injuries and disturbances?
You, as the sub-renter, are fully liable and indemnify Serene Warrior.
The studio is located in the newly restored part of the monastery. Renovation and construction work will continue around the site for the coming years. The most recent updates can be found at the bottom of this page. The studio is located in the quiet central wing and does not border these areas.
In case of disturbance, force majeure or emergencies you will not receive discounts or compensation.
You are responsible for ensuring that neither you nor your clients cause any disturbance to neighbouring practices. See the general terms.
May I use photos for promoting my event?
You may, after receiving permission, use the photos from this page without 'C' for copyright marking for events taking place in the studio.
